1. How do you schedule a report to run on a regular basis?

Ans I see report whenever I am free. Daily 3-4 times.

2. What are the benefits of creating a custom channel?

Ans Custom channels are used to experiment, testing and knowing which type of ads best suits site. They are used to create ad unit (ads with different sizes, colors, location, etc) After creating ad units, we can analysis performance by A/B testing of each ad and then choosing ads which best suits our site.

3. Have you tried using the date range selector to compare certain periods? What were the results?

Ans It shows results of date range selected by me. Like, last week, last month, or date selected by me.

4. What is the Countries Report?

Ans It shows from which country people visit my web-site/blog with details like, operating system, browser.

We are provided a worksheet from, Google docs worksheet (You can copy this google docs/ drive, by clicking Adsense 10 Challenge - Week 1 -Test Your Knowledge ,we don't have to share this worksheet with anyone. It's for us to know how much we know about adsense after 70 days)

 

 Important point-

• In video, we met with Allan Livingston (AdSense Group Product Manager) and Paul Edmondson (CEO of HubPages.com). If you could ask Allan Livingston (AdSense Group Product Manager) or Paul Edmondson (CEO of HubPages.com) one question, what would it be? Tell us what you'd ask by posting your question in this event page by 10:00am PDT Monday morning. Your question could be asked in the live Hangout on Air on Wednesday, June 26th at 11:00am PDT.

Meeting members' said following important points,

• Post ads according to your site. Ad of technical site will be different than kitchen recipes site. 
• Initially, google ads having limited choices of ad sizes. Now there are more. It means as new devices like mobile, smart-phones are launched, new ad sizes are needed. And so, we should place ads according to users come to our site
• For beginner, it's recommended fewer and larger ads.
• Do lot of experiment on ads placements, ads sizes, colors, etc (A/B) testing to find out best suited ads.   

A/B testing -  Make 2 identical pages but with 1 difference only say one ad is at left, other at right. And research which page works better. Using such tests, you will know which planning best works for you. But be careful, many attributes effects these tests, so it's results in biased judgement. Like both pages should be visible 50-50% . All other things should be identical, etc. Important thing is there should be only 1 difference.

• They also gave advice to google adsense team to tell research to publishers. To help publishers, by giving process data and provide automatic testing, etc because now it's becoming so much complex, publisher has difficult to manage so many data.
• Tomorrow, it's holiday. But we have to do checkin and write that pdf (given above in this post). And ask questions in community and also ask questions for above meeting members, if your question is selected, they will answer you.

This commuity. is simply too difficult to navigate. Again. I had to miss today because I was on course elsewhere. Trying to find the video that was done today is like looking for a needle in a haystack. In addition, I have been singularly unimpressed with offerings so far. I've observed so far. 

Here's what  I would have done this or whta I thought I was getting.

1. I thought the topic was Adsense not SEO. I wasn't interested in how to earn more money with adsense which is, essentially pure SEO. I was interested in how to navigate and utilize the actual Adsense and Google Analytics pages....

Every Tuesday, at 11 am to 11:30 am they host hangout on specific topic and at wednesday meet with adsense community, thursday no hangout but test your knowledge on topic of adsene training plus question and ans sesion at friday at 11 am 11:30 am and community always at you. Next week 2nd week and see performance report, schedule. So, activity on tuesday, wed, thursday, friday.  Saturday, sunday holiday... :)
They like us to ask our questions / doubts,also there will be knowledge worksheet. and on 11 to 11:30 am friday ask question (checkin survey) prepare the topic of adsense training.  important for this training.Challenger finisher are who attend all sessions and answers all survey. Tommrrow, we will meet all hangover air.

Newbie for adsense suggestions

You need blog/ web-site for publishing adsense ads. If you don't have any of these, your first step is to create blog. There are many places but 2 famous,easy , flexible and best places are,

1. www.blogger.com (google blogs),  best for newbie.
2. www.wordpress.com (wordpress is open source, so if you know php and have site, you can develop using this software). I have both blogs. It's for more experienced.

So, your first step is to create a blog. Go to blogger.com and create a blog. Choose any topic, start writing. Don't worry, you can add/edit/delete your blog any time. If you can't find topic, write anything, you can improve,change any time. Topic is very important but first of all, you need to know how blogger works. So, go write, play, experiment with it. When you will be experienced and you have good  topic than write new blog.

Top 10 things to be consider while writing blog,

1. Choose blog title and blog address (blog url) which best suited you topic. Choose blog address (url) that best suited your blog topic. Blog address is very important. If you can't do first time, don't worry, you can create new anytime. First start blogging later you can choose better. It's unique for every blogs. So, many addresses (url) are not available.
2. In single blog, write on specific topics.If you have multiple topics, write multiple blogs. Choosing topic is also very important. Choose topics in which you have interest, you have experienced. You have lot of knowledge. If you don't have, ask friends, use google. I will write new post on choosing topics. :P
3.  Write original contents. Don't copy and paste content from other blog. Of-course, you can read from other places and write on your original language.
4. Check your content with, http://www.copyscape.com/ to know whether you blog is considered as copied from other blog/site. You can even check your competitor whether they are coping your content from this site.
5. Don't try to write your content in best language, without grammar mistake, in first draft. You can edit, delete any time. If you can't find topic, write anything, then improve it. Ideas don't come first time. 
6. All posts of blog should have same topic. And every post have unique sub-topic. You are optimizing that keyword/s (if you don't know this term search it on google, I will write on it next time) .
7.  If you have created your first post, now you can place ad on it. For blogger, you see earning tab on your blogger.com. From here you place ads and also get ad details.
8. Write in simple language. Write short sentences in simple language.
9. Write point-wise. Like, Top 10 things to be consider while writing blog . 
10. Read other people blogs on your topic. You will get new idea, new knowledge reading other topics. Having insight knowledge is very important.

Adsense commonly used terms

Page CTR (click-through rate) - It is percentage of people clicking on ads visiting your page. So,
CTR = (clicks / page-visit ) X 100 . The more value of CTR, the better. It measures

CPC (Cost-per-click) - It is amount of earning when users clicks on ad. In google adsense, it is given average CPC, it means,

CPC = Total Earning / Total Number of clicks . The more value of CTR, the better.

Page RPM (Page revenue per thousand impressions) - Average Earning per thousand page view. The more value of RPM , the better.
Page RPM = (Total earnings / Total Number of page views) * 1000

Estimated earnings - it is estimating of earning of recent time. Other is Finalized earning. It is close to actual (finalized) earning.

Why estimating earning not Finalized earning? If google thinks earning is due to invalid clicks (if publisher himself/ herself clicks on own ads). Then google will not charge fees from advertiser and hence publisher will not get any earnings. It may be result into closure of adsense account.

Top 10 reasons for Adsense account blocking

Your adsense account is approved. You are happy using it. But be careful, protect your account from blocked. Main 10 reasons for adsense account blocking, 

1. Copied Content/ image from other sites. Avoid this  to protect from adsense account blocking.
2. Illegal content (porn, weapons, etc content in site).  Torrent download. Open source or software developed by you is legal but paid/ copyrighted torrent download is not legal. This can be reason for being adsense account blocked.
3. Clicking on your own ads or inspiring people (like writing content please click ads) is not allowed. You can promote your site. But writing content please click on ad is not legal.
4. Auto- clicking software on ads. Don't try to cheat google. Sooner or later you will be caught and your adsense account will be blocked. 
5. Write original content. Don't copy and paste. (Even if it's not blocked, your ranking will be effected).
6. You can promote your site/ blog at facebook, twitter, google plus, etc but don't say to click on ads else you may loose adsense account.
7. Write quality content. This may not be reason for blocking but it's good for good ranking.
8. Spamming of your site. Writing same content and link to 100s of forums/ sites can be reason of blocking.
9. Don't place ads on blank site. There should be minimum content that anyone can visit site. 
10. Keyword spamming. Writing same keyword that is not good for users only for google ranking. Or hiding words from users but writing for ranking only. (Like white font on white background).
